We have a vendor application that creates a new database monthly for only few tables. Vendor doesn't have solution. Is there any other way besides partitioning as partitioning require enterprise version? Any recommendation?

I have supported instance that had this. It was some financial forecasting software. Usually after the quarter financials were processed those dbs were dropped. – Shawn Melton Feb 9 '12 at 0:39

I do not fully understand your question : do you mean a new database is created each month ? What is the data load ? Why would you need partitioning ? – nopol Feb 9 '12 at 8:58
