I have setup a slave machine and check the port 3306 on the master is open. The problem on the slave is keep showing me this. I have drop and add this user on the master again but still the same.

Last_IO_Error: error connecting to master 'replicationUser1@*.*.*.*:3306' - retry-time: 60  retries: 86400

solve it by putting in the change master command. Is that command a must is it? Else it wont work is it. – newbie14 May 20 '12 at 7:48
