we are trying to design a survey system and we are kind of stuck at database table design. We use jsp, oracle and jquery. we managed to make a survey generator that clones an html table with different answer types. and when we click on writings, we can change them by a jquery plugin.

our problem is, how can we store our surveys in easiest way? And how shall we design our database design for that?

Thanks in advance Timur

it's a pretty broad question. perhaps you could ask a few more specific questions. – Neil McGuigan Jun 13 '12 at 19:46
well.. my initial idea is implementing a dynamic xml generator. System would read DOM that i created with jQuery. So it could store it into database as CLOB datataype (i use oracle as db) and it could also read and display it to survey participants. But i wonder is there a better approach? i'm very new with designing effective database designs. All my experience is homework stuffs. :) – Timur Jun 14 '12 at 17:45
But i also considered uploading generated xml files into server for long surveys. – Timur Jun 14 '12 at 18:00
