I'm looking for a Countries and Cities database with names localized at least Spanish, English, Italian, Dutch and German

For starters: Most cities around the world, with the exceptions of places like Nanking, use the native name as the "generic" name. Consider: Berlin. In English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Dutch, etc, it is "Berlin" (as far as I know). Berlin might be a bad example from all the cities in the world to have the city name be most recognizable 70 years ago, but even in Spanish it is just: Berlín. Printing "Berlin" would be sufficient for almost everyone. – jcolebrand Jul 19 '12 at 17:25
Additionally, what you're asking for might be a suitable question on Geographic Information Systems, but really you need to do a little more digging on Wikipedia, as I'm willing to bet they have that sort of information, to some extent. – jcolebrand Jul 19 '12 at 17:25
I understand your opinion. But I think all persons that worked in any time in a multilanguage applications or websites had this trouble. Thanks for the advices. – Alberto León Jul 19 '12 at 17:29

Unfortunately this site is for managing databases, not for populating them. There's not really a good SE site for this information, that I'm aware of. – jcolebrand Jul 19 '12 at 17:29
What specifically are you looking to do with this information? – jcolebrand Jul 19 '12 at 17:30
