In my company we use Excel/SQL Server/Access/VB.NET/C#/.... I want to remove many workarounds, but first i need to understand the whole thing.

I'm not an model expert, so i want some opinions (and patterns) from you guys.

For my Macro model, i'm thinking to use Aris Express and make something like this: enter image description here

For my Data Model Diagram i tried to use "New Database Diagram" from SQL Server but i got some problems using it. I can't create a Diagram with two Databases, (i need it because we split the databases in 'general company's database' and 'specific software database' ). For my Data Model Diagram i could use simply ER Model.

Does someone know a pattern/softwares to make my life better?

What are you asking for here? Help with modeling your processes? Software that allows you to diagram things? – Jon Seigel Aug 21 '12 at 2:59
I'm looking for a pattern (like ER/UML) to follow. – Makah Aug 21 '12 at 12:14

The question is really clear. I have a complex IT infrastructure with Excel/Access/SQL/.NET and i want a pattern to build a model. – Makah Aug 24 '12 at 19:32
