The Sybase servers which I am working on have just been switched to LDAP authentication. I was using DBArtisan before that, and used to input separate login name and password. Now I don't see any option to use Windows Authentication. Are there any other command-line/front-end tools you would recommend?

Surely the sybase server authenticates via ldap transparently to the clients? Have you actually tried using your ldap credentials with dbartisan in the same user/pass boxes you were previously using? Don't mean to belittle you, but may have been overlooked. –  Phil Nov 8 '12 at 22:02

You are right. This is now solved, the issue was elsewhere, the admin of the server gave me the wrong port... Having used mostly SQL server in the past, I got confused with the concept of "Windows authentication" which is just a tiny feature of the client that grabs your pass for you, nothing to do on a protocol level which I had thought. –  Franklin Nov 12 '12 at 16:11
