I'm familiar with the difficulties of scaling regular postgres on AWS and the limitation of services like RDS.
Postgres plus cloud database (bit of a mouthful) seems to run out of the box on AWS, with auto-HA, elastic scale out, auto load balancing and provisioning. In short, it sounds like re-think DB or Mongo but with a relational core, which well, sounds too good to be true.
What are your experiences with the product? How did it deliver on its promises, especially on the elastic scale out side of things?
