Database Administrators Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for database professionals who wish to improve their database skills and learn from others in the community. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I wonder how the database parts of the 2 products have changed or improved in the last 2 years.

I need a tool for working with ODBC Databases, MS Access and SQL Server and I have been using the old OpenOffice for this.

Now I want to know what is the latest development in the diverged products.

Have they been fixing bugs, making it more stable, added new features?

Maybe someone knows about this and can give a little overview.
