What is the actual error message? Not just the Stack Trace? Also, can you connect to both databases from the clients machine (i.e. Does it have access)? –  Belogix Apr 2 '13 at 10:48
Is the Jet engine installed on the clients machine? –  Neil Knight Apr 2 '13 at 10:48
Do client has SQL server client installed? There can be connection string problem as well, –  Faisal Hafeez Apr 2 '13 at 10:49
Make sure you can connect to the SQL Server from other computers. By default, it's off. You need to enable it in the sql server's settings. –  nvoigt Apr 2 '13 at 10:49
