I'm migrating ~1TB of data from SS to MySQL. The verification process is multi-stage.

  1. Implement Linked Server in MySQL and run binary_checksum on source tbl (SS) and destination tbl (MySQL)

  2. Assuming the checksums do not match, then implement checksums on each row - e.g. Add column on each destination table with a corresponding MD5 hash of the record values. Then compare the MD5 from source to destination.

Any ideas on how to make this easier, faster, better?

Thanks in advance!
