Database Administrators Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for database professionals who wish to improve their database skills and learn from others in the community. It's 100% free, no registration required.

We've just started using oracle edition-based redefinition, which is a great feature.

One DB user can run the following command without problems, and another will get ORA-01031:

grant use on edition my_edition to public

What privileges must a user have to run this command?

I've given the user the following :

alter user &user enable editions;
grant create any edition to &user;
grant alter edition to &user;
grant use on edition my_edition to &user;

What am I missing?
