Oracle version is : 11.2.0.1

I have created alerting on every error occurring in database, and in this alert log I've found the following errors

ORA-13901: Object UNDOTBS01 was not found.
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SERVER_ALERT", line 7
ORA-06512: at line 1

Username: DBSNMP

dbms_server_alert.set_threshold(:metrics_id,
,:warning_operator, :warning_value,
:critical_operator, :critical_value,
1,
:consecutive_occurrences,
:instance_name,
:object_type, :object_name);
END;

This error is repeating every 30-60 minutes.

Yesterday, I've created undo tablespace called UNDOTBS01, tried to assign it to the parameter undo_tablespace.

alter system set undo_tablespace=UNDOTBS01

Got the following error:

ORA-02097: parameter cannot be modified because specified value is invalid
ORA-30015: previously offlined undo tablespace 'UNDOTBS1' is still pending

After that I dropped the UNDOTBS01 tablespace.

drop tablespace UNDOTBS01;

It was dropped.

I don't know what is causing the error and how to solve?

You really need to patch your database - 11.2.0.1 was buggy. Is the error still happening now that the tablespace has been dropped? –  Phil Feb 4 at 7:53

@Phil I have the full installation of 11.2.0.3. Can I upgrade my 11.2.0.1 database using this installation? Or do I need to download the patch? Is the patch software different from the fresh installation? Does runInstaller of the fresh installation have the option like upgrade? And is the patch(11.2.0.1->11.2.0.3) different from the patch(11.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.3)? –  kupa Feb 5 at 13:06
