Database Administrators Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for database professionals who wish to improve their database skills and learn from others in the community. It's 100% free, no registration required.

We have an Access 2003 front end attached to a Pervasive database used with Sage Platinum. Access is used for reporting and its running on XP.
We switched to Access 2010 on a different client machine running Windows 7 and we can't connect to the database.

The error message is: ODBC- call failed. [Pervasive][ODBC Client Interface][Client UNA]Your connection to the server is no longer working. To continue, disconnect from the data source and re-connect again.

We set up the ODBC source using the ODBC admin to match what it was for the 2003 client which is working.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Does the Pervasive Control Center connect to the server? Do you have a firewall on the WIndows 7 client? If so, disable it and try again. –  mirtheil Apr 23 '14 at 15:46
