Getting TNS timeout error when trying to run a jdbc application against an oracle 11.2.0.1.0 database. Driver used : ojdbc6. JDK : 1.6_06 I've tried increasing the connect_timeout sqlnet parameter, acted on DIAG_ADR parameter and decreased the SDU size from the client. Not sure what options to take anymore. Set tns listener tracing on - no extra information is obtained. Any help on how to resolve?

Try telnet, does that connect? – Gaius Dec 13 '11 at 14:34
