comment User can alter procedures without permission
Aaron thanks for the hand. fn_my_permissions returned an empty record set. The select query returned db_datareader and db_datawriter. They haven't been granted db_owner that I'm aware of and I'm not running any custom roles.

comment SSMS login to different domain
hmmm Yeah its defaulting to SQLServer Authentication. I know it can be next to impossible to troubleshoot by internet text. Thank you very much for taking the time Aaron.

comment SSMS login to different domain
When SSMS opens. The servername text box for me contains the IP address for the server. When SSMS opens for him the servername text box contains the name of a local server on our internal network. Is that clearer? Sorry if I'm still being confusing.

Yeah he can ping and he's using the same database name that is working for me. although his does not default too it when the SSMS login comes up. So he inputs that address and switches to windows login. Would this cause SSMS to overwrite the credentials being used in the background?

Ok I got it to work for me by copy and pasting in the password. not sure why but I'm certain I didnt typo all those times. My developer is still having the issue though. When ssms comes up its not defaulting to the db server were looking to connect too.

I see. So could you grant impersonate to the user at the end of the queue then? Or does it not allow that?

This solution is returning the error 'CREATE VIEW' must be the first statement in a query batch.

comment User can't see database in SQL Server 2008 R2
Thanks Craig there shouldnt have been any denys used on the user but I tried the grant to no avail. I dont see any missed steps. Is there any way to query what Grants/Denys are in place for a user using the system tables?

comment ignore table does not exist error
I tried. It's 3200 lines of code. over 208,000 characters and this has a 30000 character limit. I think I'm going to go with your suggestion and put begin trys around each of the inserts. It should take care of the problem.

comment ignore table does not exist error
No each insert is being set as a string and then executed via sp_executesql as I'm dynamicly setting the database it needs to go to. The idea is to copy some 2800 access databases into 2800 sql databases.

comment ignore table does not exist error
This would need to be done around each individual insert. correct? I'm currently running 180 seperate inserts inside the begin try. So a single insert error cancels for the group.
