IT professional since 1993. Started as a desktop DB developer in MS Access, Paradox and FoxPro (please, no snickering :-) ). Migrated to client-server and n-tier development with both Oracle and SQL Server data tiers. Took my first stab as an Oracle & SQL Server DBA in 2000. Now a full-time SQL Server DBA with formal training in Kimball dimensional modeling, and still maintaining my roots as an application developer. I'm always learning something new, always finding something that can be improved.
