Can someone please give me hints on normalizing this database and any other helpful hints @GertArnold. The issue is, I have no id column for tables tblChatSessionStarters and tblSessionsTalkers and entity framework model diagram is creating two distinct many-to-many retaionships between tblChatSessions and tblTalkers |

Can someone please give me hints on normalizing this database and any other helpful hints @GertArnold. Yes a chatter can only enter one room at a time. He can have many sessions regardless of whether he is in a room or not. Sessions are not related to rooms in anyway. A session can have may chatters and a chatter can have may active sessions. And yes to your other question, once a starter quits, a session is over for now(Not sure why I have that but any recommendations on that would be welcomed). Also as for history of visited chat rooms, I removed that from my logic for simplicity's sake. I am trying to get a basic chat app running for the moment and then add those features. |
