comment Can I restore a database to a point of time without backup?
When all things fall short, 10% is better than 0% but testing backups regularly is more important!

comment Relationship between favorite and contact in database
I agree with @ToddEverett The definition of contact and favorite matters a lot here. If it's like a phone number with a contact list and some favorited, you wouldn't need 2 times the same records in different tables, all you need is an extra binary column "favorite" in contact. Let us know and we will help :)

comment Where is oraenv located in solaris?
@alanc You make a good point but can you expand a bit? I never have an option to pick a location for oraenv. So I would think it would always place it in the local binaries. The binaries location may change however if placed somewhere else? Is that what you mean?

comment SQL Server not using all CPU cores/threads
I had the same problem with a standard version. We had 8 sockets used and it wouldn't use the rest. All we had to do is change the VM and configure 4 sockets 2 cores.
