Resuming Replication w/ Database Mirroring when Principle is unavailable Since you have three servers at your disposal, have you tried setting up mirroring in synchronous mode with a witness? If you do this combination with replication, your subscriptions will continue to work automatically after the publisher fails over. |

How to determine the read / write ratio of your server? You pretty much answered your own question. You might also look at sys.dm_os_buffer_descriptors to see how dirty each database is in memory. That will also give you an idea of where the action is. |
