I have in worked in .NET and C# since v1.1, and now tend to do a lot of work in WPF. I can code in VB when forced to. I am interested in compilers and language construction. Outside of software I have a degree in Marketing, an appreciation of graphic design, and more than a passing interest in brutalist urban architecture.

I created the database from the script rather than the other way round, so I know there is nothing hard coded in 'my' data. It's more the metadata that SQL server stores behind the scenes - or potential lack thereof - that I was thinking about.

I think it's better to avoid contamination than go with it and try to find it in testing, although my notion of 'contamination' is currently quite abstract and could be ungrounded.

The question is really about an initial deployment, but realistically there will probably be a change at some point so a regard for that is prudent. Also bear in mind that a diligent script already exists, with all dependencies in the right order.
