What is the best and most performant MySQL cloud solution? @RickJames I don't have an exact number, but I estimate it to be max 400 (probably 300). |

What is the best and most performant MySQL cloud solution? @CadeRoux I am running a MySQL instance inside an EC2 VM. I'm comparing that to RDS and Xeround. |

What is the best and most performant MySQL cloud solution? @CadeRoux Database schema and indexing are identical. With Xeround I've tested with a free and payed account - no difference in performance. With EC2 I've only tested with a micro instance. All tests were done from the same machine and the cloud databases were all on the east coast. So, what kind of EC2 instance would you suggest me testing? And if the goal is only the database, is the RDS a better solution? |

What is the best and most performant MySQL cloud solution? @CadeRoux I am aware of this. But his is not the problem. Test against the local DB take 20 sec. and against the Xeround/Amazon take 10 min. |

What is the best and most performant MySQL cloud solution? @CadeRoux In both cases, the test application was running locally an connecting to the cloud database. The amount of data being sent is 1 MB max. So that's not an issue. |
