I have been working with ASP.NET since 2001. My current development obsessions lie with ASP.NET MVC 2, jQuery, Structuremap, and Fluent NHibernate.
I am also expanding into android development and enjoy the slight paradigm shift.
"Javascript is everything I don't like about programming conveniently rolled up into one language."

Setting up a Redundant Sql Server 2008 Configuration While Retaining High Performance and Minimal Downtime We can only cluster on one SAN, which will not buy us any more recoverability in the event of a SAN failure than the snapshot system provided by the hosting company. DFS would allow us to have clustering across sans, but is not PCI compliant. |

Sql Server Maintenance Plan - Best Practices on Tasks and Scheduling Sankar, thanks for your input. I had thought that doing an hourly backup of certain tables (leaving out tables that don't change that often) might be a better approach to save some backup time on hourly backups. The big issue here is I really want 15 minute transaction log backups because data loss in our situation could have legal ramifications. As for the full backup frequency, hourly would be best, but I am afraid to tax the system too much. I did look at that script before posting, but I haven't had a chance to try it. |

Sql Server Maintenance Plan - Best Practices on Tasks and Scheduling The current database is over 30 GB's, so I thought a shrink would help. Thanks for your input, Endy. |
