Currently Analyst Programmer. I have experience primarily with C# and SQL Server, which I use the most in my current job. Also I have been using Developer Express controls for Windows Forms and ASP.NET MVC Framework. Aditionally I have knowledges in relational database design. Currently I am also learning and developing a small app for Android.

In web development (which I like the most and is what influenced me to choose this career :), I have experience with:

  • HTML, CSS and Javascript.
  • Bootstrap framework.
  • Symfony PHP Framework 1.4 and 2, combined with Doctrine 1 and 2 ORM.
  • Have done a couple of projects for my job using ASP.NET MVC Framework, NHibernate, FluentNHibernate, FluentValidation and StructureMap.
  • Basic knowledges of ServiceStack combined with AngularJS.
  • Mobile applications with Phonegap/Cordova, using Intel's AppFramework.

Other programming languages I have used: Java, C, Visual Basic, DrScheme, Prolog.

revised Scalar function used in calculated column, what's the cleanest way to update the function?
Added tags "user-defined-functions" and "functions", because the question is directly related to the use of SQL Server user defined function.

It seems to be available from SQL Server 2008 and above, but not for SQL Server 2005 :( (technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178532%28v=sql.90%29.aspx)

comment Find the first gap in an aggregation of integers in SQL Server
I guess this is the fastest way. However, if rank=1 is deleted, it will never be taken.

comment Which is the uniqueness level of object_id?
I need the shortest value to unique identify the columns and tables of the same database amongst many computers. That's why I was interested in a number like the object_id, instead of the names, but I've seen cases where the id was modified, so I wasn't sure to use it.

comment Why is SSMS inserting new rows at the top of a table not the bottom?
As I have seen sometimes, it depends on the PK's ordering how the rows are displayed, if you select a single table. If you make some joins, it can change depending on the other tables PK's, FK's and indexes...
