Need help with ASYNC_NETWORK_IO We're not serving up that much but I know of a few web apps that are bringing back bigger amounts of data. And some of the computers that our users have are slugs and have had problems loading the pages... |

Need help with ASYNC_NETWORK_IO Just throwing this out there... If I have an web page that that is bringing back all data from a table - just say 4Gb of data (something big) and the end user is running a slow machine and has to wait for this data would that bottleneck be noticed in ASYNC_NETWORK_IO?? There are a few web pages that are poorly written and are on the list to get fixed. |

Need help with ASYNC_NETWORK_IO @gbn - I restarted our web server aboout an hour ago and ASYNC_NETWORK_IO waiting_tasks_count is already up over 100000. Normal? I am also remotely running perfmon on the web server for the next few days to see what I can see. Any other suggestions in the meantime? |

Need help with ASYNC_NETWORK_IO @gbn - I'll give that a try then take a look at the logs. Also, does the number of the ASYNC_NETWORK_IO waits seem high for 15 minutes? |

Need help with ASYNC_NETWORK_IO @gbn - I'm a bit new to this. Since this are web sites what would the client be? If this is a web site that is the offender then would tracking down the application code and processes be next? |

SQL Server Backup Process Tuning Looks like the actual backup isn't causing the issue. Seems to be something else when SQL Agent is running that seems to be the issue. Still trying to figure this out. |
