To add some more, I have run the query using different parameters and tried to compare the plans, if it was parameter sniffing then I assume I would see some differences in the plans but there are none I can see. Furthermore we are talking about a very small set of data, there are only about 400 rows returned from the view. I feel like I am barking up a tree with no treats in it!

Well I could add it, but I need to wait until the issue happens again I suppose to be sure its fixed it. Could this not be a parameter sniffing issue?

I can only assume I haven't made myself clear in my questions, can anyone advise if what I have asked makes sense at least?

comment Kerberos Authentication Issue
Kerberos is returned from auth_scheme. Delegation has been enabled for the SQL cluster (network name) for each server and set as ‘Trust this computer for delegation to any service (Kerberos only) in AD. SPNs have been set for MSOLPSvc.3/machinename domain\serviceaccount and MSOLPSvc.3/machine.FQDN domain\serviceaccount We have tried the Keberos config manager and it doesn’t really help. From what I can gather it just tells you if a SPN exists or not and not what to actually troubleshoot/do?

comment Linked server query in profiler
Thanks, from what I have read it seems what I am after is not possible which makes it difficult to find incoming queries.

Can I do that for my own post!!? Also is there instructions on formatting messages and code on this forum, I seem to struggle with that.
