Software Engineering is fun! Isn't it satisfying to create elegant, fast and solid software, which is sold and used all-over the world ?
Therefore, if you stumble over a challenge, then try to find a solution in a more generic way, not just a solution which can only solve one specific problem in one specific setup.
Also, if you write SQL, than do it with "set thinking", instead of "procedural thinking"!
The SQL police will support you in becoming a "software engineer", in contrast to being a "programmer".
