When looking for the database user, make sure the context of the query is the user database, not master.

comment DBCC error reported
Patches, service packs, etc., sometimes (often?) do work inside SQL Server to update system objects. I suspect what you're seeing is simply a log of this work being done and it's nothing to worry about. If it happened during the time the patches were installed, and no error was reported by the installer, then I would ignore these messages completely.

comment A transaction log grows unexpectedly
Look at the Disk Usage report -- it has a section that lists all the data and log file autogrowth events. Try to correlate the times with activity happening on the server. I suspect there's a long-running user process happening all in the same transaction.

comment Signal wait always high
What leads you to believe this is abnormal? I assume there is a workload running on the server, right?

comment Quickly restore test/QA SQL Server database
Good answer. For people finding this later, I want to draw attention to the Limitations and Restrictions section in that article -- the database as restored from a snapshot may not be restored to exactly the state one might expect (in particular, the behaviour around fulltext indexes). Snapshots are a great starting point for this type of solution, though.

comment reuse of temp table getting more time to execute
Are the number of rows in the temp table very different between the two calls?
