I love coding!

The way I get to do what I love is by specializing in integration data between Project Management and ERP systems. For example, I integrate Primavera with JD Edwards. Or PeopleSoft, or Timberline, or, heck, even an Excel spreadsheet.

I have a number of frameworks I've developed to help me do this. Most of my work is done on C#, using Windows Forms, ASP.NET, and Silverlight. I also play with developing WP7 apps for fun.

Recently I've been playing with EC2, Sharepoint, and Powershell. Learning a heck of alot and having fun.

comment Oracle equiv of T-SQL UNION ALL query
Absolutely right, it worked all along. The actual statement was much longer, and in my final Group BY I had a space where a period should have been. But you breaking it down helped.

OK, thanks. I was hoping there would be a solution that would not require acting on the remote database.

presentation layer is InfoMaker. very crummy program, so as much as we can push into the database, we do.

The account was the local Administrator account itself. This account is part of the local Adminsitrators group, as is my domain account. But only the local Administrator account was able to use Windows authentication to log into Sql Server. I hope that helps.
