Is there a standard language/interface for programmatic ETL in SQL Server? But more to the point, I'm interested in a purely programmatic approach to this problem. I'm not surprised we're using an ETL GUI here, but I find it hard to believe that all the hotshot little startups out there (many of which must have ETL needs) are using SSIS and Informatica. What tools are they using? |

Is there a standard language/interface for programmatic ETL in SQL Server? I don't believe the learning curve is a problem. I know how to do the tasks I want to do in SSIS. I'm looking into a new process because the solutions I've found are repetitive, fragile and needlessly complex. |
