comment Form builder schema for SQL database?
But that'd result in a huge performance hit. Let's say a form is created, and millions of submissions against it are recorded. Without indices and other db features, answering aggregate and even simple SELECT queries would become really inefficient. I'm not talking about exposing a whole Microsoft Access-esque interface, but a simple form builder (with PK, FK and indexes) shouldn't be nontrivial to create.

comment Defining constraints in `CREATE TABLE` statements
Phil/a_horse_with_no_name [BTW: Clint Eastwood parody? =P]: So it seems that there are some advantages with keeping things self contained, and other advantages (see answer by @MikeSherrill'Catcall') for keeping them separate. Maybe I just need to flex my Python knuckles and build a two-way script? :) - Leigh: Guessing that constraints incur less overhead? - Mike:\t\t\t\tIndentation FTW!

comment PL/SQL problem statement for homework study
Nope, it's not for a certification. I have been learning PL/SQL at university, and we have an exam testing our PL/SQL skills (amongst other things). So what I am looking for is an "assignment" which I can do to gain experience with PL/SQL.

comment ORM-style server-side programming languages (OO replacement for PL/SQL?)
Doesn't need to be for multiple platforms, I should've used xor instead of or. An OO alternative would be nice, since procedural is less commonly used nowadays.

comment Automated UML2 Class Diagram generation from SQL?
Hmm, not sure what happened to the link. Anyways, here it is: forum-omondo.com/documentation_eclipseuml_2008/Eclipse_Database/…. Also of note, ObjectAID is apparently better than JPA; so try it out!

Maybe it's because I'm running "Oracle Database 11g Express Edition", that it doesn't show up?

"PL/SQL Developer" looks quite good, downloading it now. I've been running SQL Developer 3.0.04 (BUILD MAIN-04.32), seems stable enough. Thanks!

That I can't walk-through the debugger. If there's an error, I can't just click on the error and it jumps to the line.

Looks like I can build an OO model straight from the ER Diagram in PowerDesigner. This one however, doesn't have the getter and setter operations.
