Can you ask whoever gave you the files what to do with those?

comment Why SQL Server Express 2012 take automatically backup in “Virtual Device” without virtual device configuration?
Is there a Windows OS level backup? Those usually use Sql Server's VSS provider when backing up and can be seen as backup to virtual device in Sql Server's logs. So ask the server / backup admin team if such a job exists and check if the schedules match your observations.

comment How to copy data from one database to another database efficiently?
How much data (rows and gigabytes) are you dealing with? Is the source static or changing? Can you afford any downtime?

comment ROUND VS CONVERT FUNCTION
@VladimirBaranov Fair enough, measurement must be done with proper care. Anyway, the difference observed is so small that unless there is really an issue, I wouldn't bother with further testing.

comment DB backups not secheduled
The Windows server backup will back up all files on your system, unless you configure excludes. It recognizes Sql Server's files and will use VSS snapshot to get a consistent state for backup. Solution: ditch the maintenance plan, use Ola's scripts and config the Win server backup to exclude the DB data and log dirs.

The freezing comes from VSS snapshot that server backup is doing.

What are you trying to achieve? You can use UNC paths without resorting to xp_cmdshell and net use.

comment Single query for searching for records without knowing what the search column is for
So you are getting wrong results. Add table structure, sample data, query, expected and actual results to your post. Without those, it's all guessing from simple typo to an error in query logic.

What, exactly, does "its not working" mean? Wrong results? Error message? Something else, what?

comment Why temdb and log file size is not reduced by SQL Server
@Zerotoinfinity Sql Server does remove data from tempdb after it's done. The thing is, removing data from any database will not cause the db files to shrink. The space within db is just marked as unused.

comment Using of OPTIMIZE FOR hints in a sql query
@Kaja Please benchmark the queries. A careful examination of execution plans will tell you if incorrect sniffing happens or not.

Post the execution plan and show the procedure code too. Without those, it's just idle guessing.
