comment Oracle error 12154 while importing DMP file
True, I haven't noticed it :) Edited my answer for the sake of future readers.

comment How to check if current SQL session has uncommited changes?
With one caveat. Select from @dblink would generate a dummy transaction with a bit of undo. It can be committed or rolled back without any impact.

How much salary do you offer for guys here to do your job?

comment Is it possible to copy mounted database without RMAN?
Interesting. I'm quite sure that nothing at all should write to datafiles in your situation. How did you make sure "recovery is canceled"?

comment Oracle program “lsnrctl” is missing after the installation of 32bit Oracle client
You answer about the listener (tnslsnr) but OP asked about listener control (lsnrctl). The latter is quite a normal part of administrative client binaries.

If DDL fails, the trigger is not executed. If the DDL succeeds, it is implicitly committed and then the trigger fires in the next transaction.

comment How to recreate or restore Corrupted Data Files in Oracle 11g
"The data in UNDO are only recent changes not yet committed" - no. The data in UNDO are the ORIGINAL data, that were overwritten (doesn't matter if overwriting transactions were committed or not). Just a nitpick. Or not.

comment Oracle patching
It's the same. 10.2.0.1.0 was the base version (call it "patch set 0" if you want), so 10.2.0.5.0 means patch set 4. Weird, isn't it? And PSU isn't reflected in this scheme at all in opatch.

If there is no undo for in-memory "index", long-running queries cannot benefit from it, can they?

comment Oracle: REGEXP functions hang with “DIRECT PATH READ”
Judging from "Seesion even KILLED not went away" I would say that it was in fact in RUNNING state, and not in WAITING state. If the session is RUNNING, the wait event is irrelevant as it simply shows the past (historical) wait event.
