LDF and MDF file sizes for a dynamically created Database You could set up SQL Agent alerts, use the performance condition alert, and the Databases object to alert on Data File/Log File size > xGB. But the alert won't stop the database from growing, only setting a max on file size will do that. |

SQL Server 2008 R2 Express for a single website? One downside of no agent is you'll need some other mechanism to schedule backups, the Windows task scheduler works fine. |
