Do you mean "store information about this specific file"? Or are you talking about writing data to the file itself?

comment JOIN 2 tables, and query data from them 3 times
It doesn't seem like you need to store both the make and model of a vehicle for a post, since the model sort of indicates already what the make is, doesn't it? I mean, if 'model' is 'Silverado', then make is only ever going to be 'Chevy", no? Never Ford or Toyota. But that's a different discussion.

Well isn't my face red. That was the entire problem. Back to normal results. Thanks very much!

Hello, thanks for your response. I apologize for the error, but I pasted the wrong code snippet in the altered stored procedure. I had in fact changed it to use the new view. I have edited my original post.

We can't join on email unless address is blank. But this is close enough that I can work out the remaining issues. Thanks tons.

Up-voted. This is quite close--I think the rest can be handled with IF logic. Checking one last thing before accepting as the answer.

@AaronBertrand : Again, this is simplified. The column extra actually represents 6 columns, only one of which is actually nullable in the personal_code_extra table. This represents data that is specific to the merchants of only a single industry, not all of our clients.

@AaronBertrand : There absolutely will be either an address or an email. The match will be on fname-lname-address if an address is supplied; otherwise on fname-lname-email. One of the two must be supplied. The data is not being submitted directly from customers.
