What we are trying to achieve is to work out the scalability of the system in these particular procedures and for the various versions of the software. An ideal graph will be linear and if there is a tipping point it would be nice to know it

I would suggest that you find out what is going on under the hood - use autotrace and/or explain. What optimizer are you using (cost based or rule based)? Have you got up to date stats on those tables?
