comment DBCC Check DB issue
The KB article you pointed is not relevant (support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3044958). It says sql server shuts down, but OP's situation and error are different.

What error are you getting ? Can you check windows event and sql server error log and post the error message ?

comment DBCC Check DB issue
It would be good if you can point to the bug or ms kb article. That will improve your answer.

comment Resource Governor - user in classifier function using NULL pool rather than stated pool
Are you using litespeed to take backups ? If that is the case then you should open a case with Litespeed (Dell) and have them address the issue. I have not seen any latch contention with native backups. Litespeed can spawn many threads depending on how you have configured and that will lead you to the situation that you are facing.

comment Sort operation sql server 2012
Post actual execution plan XM - (use pastebin and link it here). Why are you using NOLOCK - remember it is not fast. It means get me data and I dont care about the quality. What version of sql server are you using ? If you post table ddl and some sample data with expected output - use sqlfiddle.com --> select sql server .. that will help us help you.

comment Very high avg_write_stall_ms for tempdb
You will need TF 1118 and 1117 enabled. I am away from my computer, but read up on those trace flags. Why have you set TF 3605 - it writes all dbcc output to error log ?

comment Very high avg_write_stall_ms for tempdb
Looking at your screenshot, you have tempdb data files 2GB each. I would suggest you to properly presize them since 2GB is very less. This will prevent expensive autogrowth events which might be contributing to higher stalls. Use this script to know how many times autogrowth event fired. A seperate LUN for tempdb will definitely help. see this as well dba.stackexchange.com/a/53917/8783

comment Very high avg_write_stall_ms for tempdb
is TF 1118 and 1117 enabled ? Also, is tempdb sharing the same LUN as data / log files ?

comment How to optimize this tricky SQL self-join?
Can you post the table DDL with some data and expected results ? Also, post the actual query plan xml (use pastebin and link it here). Have you tried using APPLY operator that would be more efficient. sqlblog.com/blogs/rob_farley/archive/2011/04/13/…

comment How to Replicate data between a hosted database and a local database
If you can use SSIS, then you can do incremental load and schedule your package through SQL Agent Job.

comment “Unable to Open BCP host data-file” using xp_cmdshell from SSMS but command line works
Can you try putting the full bcp path in the script ? e.g. `C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn`

comment What are alternatives to Replication to distibute data (Microsoft SQL Server)
Storage and RAM are cheap now a days. Why cant you add them and have schema separation within the database. All servers with read/write and instant sync - you are going to need significant architecture design and budget.
