comment Can I get notification when event occur?
Very helpful answer. But one question, xp_cmdshell can trigger some security issues and there are recommendations on not to use it. Is there another way of saving the deadlock? Or sending it without previously psychically storing it on the drive?

Thanks a lot @Kin! Did't had the time yesterday to review it. Sure will take a look into WMI. Still so much to learn. Your script seems the answer to what I'm looking for, will check it out right away.

Interesting, didn't knew about this other option. But I see lot of recommendations to use service broker too. What's the difference between them? By using WMI I can avoid the hassle of creating service/queues? WMI is broader and allows to track more event types? Or it is something else?

comment identify blocking and send alert
Saved my day! But need to add couple of changes. USE msdb GO CREATE PROCEDURE StartBlockedProcessNotification AS CREATE EVENT NOTIFICATION BlockedProcessNotification ON SERVER FOR BLOCKED_PROCESS_REPORT TO SERVICE 'BlockedProcessService', 'current database' GO USE MASTER GO EXEC sp_procoption 'StartBlockedProcessNotification', 'startup', 'on' USE msdb; EXEC StartBlockedProcessNotification;

comment Join reorders results
As @MarkSinkinson points out, doesn't matter that the table-valued function returns a table with a specified order. Once you run the "outter" select without ORDER BY you are not guarantee to have same order on each run.

Indeed for the GETDATE() case there is no need of the inner CONVERT, edited.

You are asking for return a date only format (DD/MM/YYYY) but on your output that's not the format you show as it is MM-DD-YYYY with - instead of /. Which one it is?

Using your solution result is 2005-09-01 and 2007-09-01 but the OP is looking for 09-01-2007. I guess OP is bit confused on formats.
