Remove Database from SQL Management Studio Database List If you right click the database you want to remove, one of the choices is Tasks....
The very first sub-menu choice is Detach.... This will open a window allowing you to detach the selected database.
Simple when you know where to look. I tried the stored procedure but it was complaining the database was in use. I had everything else closed, so I'm not sure why. It also didn't help that I was search for dettached with two Ts. |

Remove Database from SQL Management Studio Database List That pretty much what I've tried to do, but I don't see a detach option. |
