Feb 7, 2017 at 21:45 comment added Brent Ozar @blobbles yeah, you just can't stop people from oversharing. Hey, by the way, follow me on Instagram - I'm BrentO - and I share pictures of my breakfast there. ;-)
Feb 7, 2017 at 21:36 comment added Aaron Bertrand @blobbles well, no offense, but I don't think that's on Brent. They could paste that same XML to dropbox, MSDN forums, here, basically anywhere online... does every online service now need to be responsible for secrets that might be divulged by people who upload files there?
Feb 7, 2017 at 21:34 comment added blobbles Brent - I think your pastetheplan site is great, but a little dangerous. Some people paste plans that enable you to see a whole lot of details about their systems, eg: brentozar.com/pastetheplan/?id=S1aOsnDue. Probably not the write forum to bring this up in, but I would review the ability for people to view recent plans: brentozar.com/pastetheplan/recent

Feb 7, 2017 at 21:16 comment added Aaron Bertrand @Uberzen1 No, as he explained, it is written to the index pages at insert/update time. It doesn't have to recompute anything if the index is used to access the column.
