Also read this article. blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/sqlqueryprocessing/2010/02/16/… server-memory-grant/ Up to 2016 when a query plan is chosen and memory is allocated (based on RequestedMemory and GrantedMemory) can Granted memory change during execution? Will I ever see a higher number in 'GrantedMemory' compare to 'RequestedMemory'? Is that what 'MaxQueryMemory' is telling me--that if you need more on the fly that is your limit? If you prefer I can spin up a new question. | |
