Jul 21, 2019 at 15:02 comment added Lennart - Slava Ukraini Yes, thats correct. To get the last data you can join with summary table
Jul 21, 2019 at 13:40 comment added Miguel Rozsas Thanks for the alternative solution. Starting on Monday I will give it a try. As far I understand, I do not do anything on device_summary. It is done automagically when I do an insert on snmpData, am I right ? When I need to retrieve the last set of data from snmpData, I must use lastSeen from device_summary and not from device, which has not have any timestamp column any more, isn't ?

Jul 21, 2019 at 11:39 comment added Lennart - Slava Ukraini Thanks for the last clarification, now it is easy to understand the scenario. As it appears snmpdata is dependent on device, and vice verca. I'll sketch on an alternative sloution
Jul 21, 2019 at 11:26 comment added Miguel Rozsas yup, you' re right. I should did that at first. Please see the post, it was edited with the additional info and uses case)
Jul 21, 2019 at 6:16 comment added Lennart - Slava Ukraini It is not clear how the rows in B is related to rows in A, only by the timestamp? Post a minimal example as CREATE TABLE statements, and INSERT statements (or use dbfiddle.uk or similar), that demonstrates the problem.
