You could use replace as in my updated answer. If you want to do that in a generic fashion, you'll have to loop through the parameters, and you won't be able to retain the type information, so the resulting query might not be a runnable SQL statement.

Thanks, I see it can print out the arguments. I wonder if there is any way to substitute the $1, $2 etc inside the EXECUTE statement and print it out though?
