I want to add a note on changing the default superuser cassandra. This no longer affects the consistency of authentication in Cassandra 4 and above. Authentication consistency, unlike the official documentation suggests, is now leveraged at the configuration level in cassandra.yaml via the parameter auth_read_consistency_level.
