Oracle 11g database structural change doesn't autobackup controlfile/spfile

I have configured controlfile autobackup:

CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP ON;
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO '/u02/backup/%F';

Then added a test tablesapce into the database:

create tablespace test datafile '+DATA01' size 10m;

And there is no controlfile autobackup, and also no entry in alert log file about backing it up.

Why?
