I have following problem, i need to discard tablespace of temporary table(file is present, i want to delete this file too) or somehow completely remove this table.

This table can't be shown with show tables directive.

I want to delete this table because when i run mysqlcheck against this database - mysql server crashes.

  • move all tables to a temporary database, drop test_base and then move the tables back – akuzminsky Sep 8 '15 at 17:42

I don't want to touch the whole database:) i want to remove only this bogus tablespace which isn't used at all. However i am not sure if it's safe operation. – Navern Sep 8 '15 at 19:56

Try to 1- Stop MySQL. 2- rename this file to something like "old_file". 3- Start MySQL. If the server started with no complains, you may delete the file. If the server asked for the file, stop the server and rename it back to its original name – Jehad Keriaki Sep 8 '15 at 20:46
