On server lab01 was installed SQL Server and SSRS. On second server lab02 is installed only SSRS. When I configured Reporting Services Configuration Manager I create new database and given name ReportServer02 because already have ReportServer database which is database of SSRS on lab01. I am using the same account for both connections domain\lab_ssrs. On lab01 when run Report Manager everything is ok, but on lab02 I get error:

The report server cannot open a connection to the report server database. A connection to the database is required for all requests and processing. (rsReportServerDatabaseUnavailable)

Account have same permissions on both databases. Any solution ?

  • first thing to check would be can lab02 connect to lab01 on port 1433(or whatever port the instance is listening on). you can test this by opening command prompt on labo2 and type: telnet lab01 1433. you may have to install telnet client. – Bob Klimes Oct 13 '15 at 14:05
  • Cannot connect to server from any other SSMS from any other server with domain name. Always same error. SSPI context – Darko Milic Oct 14 '15 at 13:54
