I'm having a hard time figuring out if the new replacements for DB Control (Express and Cloud Control) support all of the features that were available in DB Control. I know Express is very limited, so I'm mostly unclear about what Cloud Control supports. More specifically I'm hoping to find the following features, available in DB Control:

  • Performance -> Top Activity/Search sessions/Search SQL
    (I think i've seen this in Express already, not sure...)
  • Availability -> Creating, Restoring and managing backups
  • Server -> Manage tablespaces, datafiles, roles/profiles and advanced user settings
  • Data movement -> Export and Import data, Clone and Duplicate database

Are these interfaces missing, and is the intent to do this commandline based from now on? Or are they available in Cloud Control or some other extension?

    OEM Cloud Control does all of that, plus a shedload more. You don't need to go near a SQL> prompt if you don't want to. – Philᵀᴹ Dec 9 '15 at 10:57
  • Great, then I know I don't need to bother trying to fix my broken EM Express... If you post your comment as an answer, I'll accept it... – Wouter Dec 9 '15 at 11:06
