I've been working on updating an existing database for a company and for version control have been making multiple copies (so far I'm at 10) and making different kinds of changes to each one. I am wondering however if there are any negative effects do doing this? These copies are on a shared drive but are separated from the original database (which people are still using).

  • Are you using an external data source like SQL Server, or are the files self-contained? – Randolph West Oct 6 '16 at 5:44
