We are migrating our SSRS reports server database from SQL SERVER 2008 R2 to SQL SERVER 2014 and as I understand it this means all SSRS reports will receive a new id. Hence any SSIS packages that reference a report would break.

Is there a way to identify all SSIS packages that make reference to SSRS reports?

  • How are you doing this migration? – Antoine Hernandez Nov 10 '16 at 21:12
  • Having SSIS packages reference SSRS reports isn't terribly common. Are you sure that's what is happening? Can you post a screenshot or code snippet showing an example of this? – GregGalloway Nov 11 '16 at 0:52
  • @Antoine Hernandez The DBA's handling the migration portion are going to use a backup and restore of the database. – Lumpy Nov 11 '16 at 14:10
  • @GregGalloway - I'm new here so I'm going on what I'm being told. Essentially their saying that we have reports being called from SSIS but then the BI guy says he put them in place so long ago he cant provide me with the name of a package. – Lumpy Nov 11 '16 at 15:05
  • @Lumpy maybe download all the SSIS dtsx files and do a text search for ReportServer or other possible mentions of SSRS terms? – GregGalloway Nov 11 '16 at 15:38
