I cannot access oracle from remote due to my listener error. I checked all configuration files which are listener.ora, tnsanmes.ora and sqlnet but I didn't find any missing config. Below is my listener.ora

listener.ora Network Configuration File: D:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\network\admin\listener.ora

Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

SID_LIST_LISTENER = (SID_LIST = (SID_DESC = (SID_NAME = CLRExtProc) (ORACLE_HOME = D:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1) (PROGRAM = extproc) (ENVS = "EXTPROC_DLLS=ONLY:D:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin\oraclr11.dll") ) )

ADR_BASE_LISTENER = D:\app\Administrator

Here is tnsnames.ora

tnsnames.ora Network Configuration File: D:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\tnsnames.ora

Actually, my oracle server worked normally before we change server's IP address from to So I have changed new IP address tnsnames.ora then Oracle have been not working properly

Thanks in advance.

  • 1) Have you restarted your Database or Host Server since you made the change? 2) Have you tried using DIRECT connection to the IP address ( or\oclams)? Can you confirm which OS your host is running on? – MguerraTorres Jan 11 at 6:16
  • @MguerraTorres : I already tried to restart Oracle services and our WIN server but it doesn't work. But I can connect on server using command sqlplus>conn mydb/mypassword. But when I change to sqlplus>conn mydb/mypasswod@ then it is waiting to access. I am using WIN OS to run Oracle Server – nvtthang Jan 11 at 6:31
  • After long time executed command sqlplus>conn mydb/mypass@ or sqlplus>conn mydb/mypass@stcdb:1521/orclams it was successfully connected but when I logged out and tried to connect against above these command, it took long time to connect and sometime it returned TNS:no listener. I don't know what's wrong in our Oracle server – nvtthang Jan 11 at 9:38
